A superstar during his football playing days, Spencer Strasmore tries to find the same success as a financial manager for current players in sun-splashed Miami. Heeding his boss Joe's instruction to "monetize his friendships," Spencer builds a client base of young phenoms and veteran stars alike, but his role in their lives far exceeds money management as he struggles to help them navigate the many traps that come with life as big-time "ballers." The series is created by Stephen Levinson ("Entourage," "Boardwalk Empire") and stars Dwayne Johnson as Spencer.

Alci Rengifo Entertainment Voice This is Dwayne Johnson at his best, proving again why he's the real deal as an actor, not just as an action star. Aug 27, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

isa e series started ok, got political and lets be honest, the acting was ever the strong suit . Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review Regal R 0/100 - they brought in riot games. the worst company in the world. failure was the best outcome. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/18/23 Full Review Avant S 1. Candidate Johnson talks about his time as an nfl team owner. 2. Season 5 is only good when spencers is not on screen. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member excellent series, with very good plot Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Thoroughly enjoyed Ballers especially the last two seasons four and five. Despite it being about footballers, drugs, women, and money it also covers a lot of very realistic ground about high level business, personalities, emotions, adversity and poilitcs. It shows the pressures that come with striving to be and maintain being the top of the game but also covers a lot of pressures on all the various characters and their roles and how these either shatter them or they overcome them. Included within all this is realistic humour that's well timed and adds to the quality of the show. Superb series and demonstrates how good an actor Dwayne Johnson is and can be. It's not the action hero over the top stuff he normally does, he gives a telling performance as Spence Strasmore. We need more of this DJ. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Finished with the last season of ballers and I wish it wasn't the end. This was an honest to god fine show with great performances all round. Hope there'll be an encore someday. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
