Bob, a middle-aged compression sock businessman from Detroit, unexpectedly falls for his cardiac nurse while recovering from a heart attack and sets his sights on winning her over. Undaunted by Abishola's lack of initial interest or the vast differences in their backgrounds -- she's originally from Nigeria -- Bob is determined to win Abishola's heart in this comedic examination of immigrant life in America. From award-winning creator, executive producer and writer Chuck Lorre.

Audience Member This show has slowly moved from "Americans are ridiculous" to "Nigerians are backwater people". If this is a good thing... I'll leave that up to you. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review aaron f I enjoyed the first two seasons of this show, because it balanced some light-hearted fun and hopefulness with the culture of the Nigerian characters, which is sometimes difficult to take. In season 3, it seems like the balance is off. The addition of Abishola's unbearable mother, the stubborn insistence on running Dele's life without asking for his input, and the showcasing of Nigerian culture's intolerance toward a lesbian character have all thrown off the balance. In the episode where Abishola's mother almost left, I was disappointed at the end to find out that she decided to stay. I'm finding most of the ancillary characters in this show to be more and more unpleasant as it goes along. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolute gem! Funny, diverse and thankfully very thoughtful to all cultures represented in the show. CBS is really hitting home runs in the comedy department these last few years with new shows United States of Al, Ghosts, B Positive and Bob ❤️ Abishola! Way to go CBS! About time!
