When heiress and notorious party girl Vivian Bowers dies of an overdose, no one is surprised. But things about the story don't add up for FBI agent Will Moreno; he is convinced that the woman's death was a homicide, and he plans to prove it. He recruits Vivian's former best friend -- now a detective --to infiltrate the Bowers family. She quickly begins to uncover dark secrets about the family and proof that her old friend's life was in danger, but she is also sucked in by the luxurious lifestyle she once knew, putting herself in harm's way in the process.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Despite its strong cast, Deception is a soapy melodrama with an overabundance of absurd, formulaic writing.
