A co-production of Amazon Studios and the New York Times, this anthology series explores love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms, as well as its effects on the human connection. Each episode brings to life a different story that has been inspired by the newspaper's popular Modern Love column. The romantic comedy series features a star-studded cast that includes such notable actors as Jane Alexander, Emmy winner Tina Fey, Andy Garcia, Oscar winner Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel and John Slattery.

Jennifer Tehani S It’s tough to review “overall” when the stories and casts were so different in each episode but just for “when the doorman is your main man” and the “take me as I am, whoever I am,” episodes (1 & 3) in season one… ALL the stars. Beautiful stories and performances full of depth, whimsy, uncomfortable truths and hope hope hope. LOVE it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/12/24 Full Review Brian H Terrific show. Does its job in revealing many facets and complications of relationships. Note: it's not a reasonable complaint to say that the show doesn't cover EVERY SINGLE type of relationship in the world, or that it doesn't dig into EVERY SINGLE facet of each person and each relationship. That's creating a false expectation of what can be accomplished in 8 30-minute episodes. The world would be a better place if people watched these episodes instead of only disney/rom com tropes. The show does its job, and does it well, what more can you ask for? It never pretends to be anything but stories of how love manifests itself in all its messiness and irregularities. Maybe a little humanity on their part rather than posturing would help them to see what audiences saw..... a lovely collection of human moments all culled from real life experiences which can touch us all.
