John L Season 2 is an improvement over 1 with production, character development and FX. A great next step to season 3 where the show really takes off! It's not terrible but the last episode of this series was the only episode I've seen in the series that was both very terrible, screwed up, and lazy because it had no script writers and screwed up the series. I also criticize the replacement of Dr. Crusher for being too similar to Dr. McCoy. But the series is still good with it's "The Child" and "Elementary, dear Data." Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Audience Member It's pretty rough at times, but it's hard not to love it for what it grew up to be. Early TNG is the awkward teenager who you know will become something truly great. Something you will love dearly and look towards for hope. I watch it back, cringing from the crummy dialogue and sets but also seeing the wonderful sincerity this show had to offer Now, we get violence and sarcasm. Just what Gene Roddenberry envisioned.....
