Featuring a bigger and better USS Enterprise, this series is set 78 years after the original series -- in the 24th century. Instead of Capt. James Kirk, a less volatile and more mature Capt. Jean-Luc Picard heads the crew of various humans and alien creatures in their adventures in space -- the final frontier.

Zack Handlen AV Club But while these problems frustrate me, they don't significantly diminish my overall appreciation of the show. That sense of community makes me look forward to each episode, and it means there's always something to fall back on. Rated: A- Oct 3, 2017 Full Review Ron Weiskind Pittsburgh Post-Gazette As did its predecessor, Next Generation immerses us in a thoroughly plausible vision of the future and that vision remains consistent. The show never makes fun of itself, never winks at us as if to say, "This is all a joke." Jan 27, 2021 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures Part of what was so special about season four of the series was the risks the writers started to take. Rated: 4/5 Jan 25, 2019 Full Review Juliette Harrisson Den of Geek It may have fewer truly stand-out hours than some others, but season four is where The Next Generation started to be really, consistently, good, with far fewer bouts of utter ridiculousness as well. Oct 3, 2017 Full Review Michael Simpson SciFiNow The Next Generation's fourth season is a solid sci-fi experience that suffers in comparison to the season before only because that was such a big step up from what the series had previously produced. Rated: 4/5 Oct 3, 2017 Full Review James Hunt Den of Geek After last year's season finale, The Best Of Both Worlds, you can sort of understand why they felt they had to go big with this one too, and it doesn't disappoint. David K One of the best science fiction shows in the history of TV! My favorite heroes, my favorite series and my favorite franchise! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Audience Member The most overrated Trek series in history, not a patch on TOS or the New DISCO. Some good episodes but way too much filler and plot hole weird episodes. Poor season Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Season 1 of TNG didn't start off well but with someone like Sir. Patrick Stewart leading it could had never been bad, at least not back then (today, well it's a whole different era). Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member There is nothing to say Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh man I think it was a great job of star trek Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Samuel R The Best of Both Worlds Part 2 did not disappoint me at all, it was excellent.
