Although he has no plans to step aside as the head of Waystar Royco, the international media conglomerate controlled by his family, aging patriarch Logan Roy is contemplating what the future holds. He has lingered in the limelight longer than even he thought he would, and now family members want to run the company as they see fit. Despite a best-laid succession plan, tempers flare over Logan's intentions. Kendall Roy, Logan's eldest son from his second marriage and a division president at the firm, is the heir apparent. As Kendall attempts to solidify his eventual takeover, he and the three other Roy children face a difficult choice as company control and family loyalties collide.

Scott Bryan BBC.com It manages to build and build and build. Rarely do you get a show that in season three, really feels to be hitting its stride, but thats exactly what this show is doing. Rated: Must Watch Apr 6, 2022 Full Review Elamin Abdelmahmoud BuzzFeed News In its new season, the HBO drama goes full-throttle to prove that it’s still the pinnacle of television. Apr 5, 2022 Full Review Eliana Dockterman TIME Magazine If we didn't know that HBO had already greenlit a fourth season of Succession, the final episode of season 3 could have served as a brilliant series finale. Dec 23, 2021 Full Review George Kowalik Vague Visages Why do we enjoy watching the Roy family? All things considered, I think the answer is a simple one: because the world is on fire, so we might as well sit back and take pleasure in pretending for an hour a week that the situation is unique to the screen. Oct 4, 2023 Full Review Jared Mobarak Hey, Have You Seen ...? Because while the plot itself is rushed to get everyone in place for season four, the comedy has never been better. I probably laughed more during this season than the previous two combined. Paul S This show never fails to amaze me, and I enjoy it every season. I definitely recommend it for drama fans! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review Myles H Succession masquerades as profound commentary on power and family by dressing up soap opera dynamics in expensive suits and literary references. The show invites viewers to feel intellectually superior while watching terrible people be terrible to each other—without offering any genuine insight beyond 'the ultra-wealthy are miserable too.' It's emotional pornography for the NPR crowd: the pleasure of watching privileged people suffer, packaged with enough prestige markers that audiences can pretend they're engaging with something meaningful rather than simply indulging in schadenfreude. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review džEJMS b what to say, I was excited before I started watching, considering all the positive reviews the series received. after 5 episodes I was disappointed. the characters are fantastically characterized. their greed, hunger for power, influence, their narcissism, psychopathy, dependence on a deranged father, incompetence and spoiledness... I don't need to mention that the acting is superb. however, you get to know all these characters and their characteristics already after the first three episodes, and the series has 39 of them. What happens in the other 36? if you ask me, nothing. the story revolves always around the same. greedy and narcissistic children are fighting for the position of director, i.e. the successor of their father. and they are doing that for 39 episodes. in each one and the same. nothing original, everything could be told in 10 episodes. one more thing disappointed me, and that is the structure of the episodes. namely, every but every episode is structured in such a way that all the characters are in the same place at the same time; at a funeral, at a party, at a wedding, on a boat... it's cool to see what trash people can be, but in my opinion there is no originality or uniqueness Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Matis E This show is a genious as always. Great acting, dialogues and story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/03/24 Full Review Jas M Was that season 3 or i accidentally re-watched the first seasons? How insulting to the audience to set up a premise (Logan naming a successor) and then refuse to follow through on it season after season, just because you want to maintain an audience for Max. Fool me once...on you, twice...thats on me but i'm patient; A THIRD time? I'm out Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
