Like an expertly confected sandwich, The Bear assembles a perfect melange of ingredients and stacks them for optimal satisfaction -- and thankfully keeps the crust-iness for extra flavor.

Audience Member This show really entertained me! I love the relationship with Carmen and Sydney. And after a while I started to like cousin, “Richie.” I do not like the main characters relationship with his love interest. They did a great job showing the everyday struggles for chefs and running a business. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review G. C I really like this show interesting dry humor and banter between the characters the only issue that I have is I do not like the person who plays Sydney she's super annoying Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! Wonderful performances. The plot felt fresh. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Timothy Y A good TV- series that portrays how it's like to be a chef Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Mikey L I honest to god do not get the hype behind this show. It is cinematically shot like garbage, plot is a nothing burger, and characters so painfully boring I genuinely do not understand how it has the ratings it does. The first season I feel was one of the most contrived pieces of media I’ve ever seen. Restaurant bad, then good, then meh cuz someone quit. That’s the whole season. Awful character development if you can call it that, where the last episode of the season had what felt like 10 minutes of an exposition dump. There was one moment in the 4 hours of runtime that got a genuine laugh from me. I do not give a damn about how accurate the show is to people who worked in the industry. It’s boring. It’s shot boring. The characters are boring. Storyline could be summarized in a sentence. Actually disgusted people can rate it so highly when there are much better pieces of media out there Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Luan R season one is freaking awesome, right on the money. tt stern-enzi WXIX-TV (Cincinnati, OH) It's loud, you're in a kitchen, there's so much going on, it's chaotic. It's overwhelming... and it feels like it's about to bubble over but then it does this amazing thing: It gives you little teases of people's lives outside of the shop. Sep 12, 2023 Full Review Megan McCluskey TIME Magazine The series delivers a vivid depiction of the fast-paced chaos of working in a kitchen and the harsh realities of restaurant culture, with breakout performances by White and Ayo Edebiri as sous chef Sydney Adamu. Jun 2, 2023 Full Review Helen Rosner New Yorker A gritty tale of cooking and grief...
