Josh, a bright-eyed, young New York defense lawyer, relocates to the small town of East Peck, S.C., where he and the local oddballs that make up his team of investigators take on delightfully absurd murder cases from their makeshift law office in the back of the town's taxidermy shop. As each eccentric case takes unexpected twists and turns, Josh's optimism never falters. In fact, even though life in this small town can be a little... unique (and more than a little strange), he's beginning to find the people of East Peck downright lovable -- and he just might feel like he's starting to fit in.
