Dan Trachtenberg
Dan Trachtenberg was born on May 11, 1981 in Philadelphia, PA. After making his filmmaking debut with the short film "Kickin'" (2003), Trachtenberg diversified his ambitions with creative endeavors in commercials, video games, and online series, including a stint hosting the video podcast "The Totally Rad Show" (Revision3 2007-2012). At the same time, he directed an episode of the web series "BlackboxTV" (Revision3 2010-) and the short film "Portal: No Escape" (2011). Throughout his years as an online presence, Trachtenberg attempted several leaps to the realm of feature directing; most notable was his approach of a film adaptation of the comic book Y: The Last Man (2002-08). Although production fell through on the project, Trachtenberg ultimately found himself at the head of the high-profile movie "10 Cloverfield Lane" (2016), a spiritual sequel to J.J. Abrams' surprise smash alien invasion thriller "Cloverfield" (2008).
