      A tireless editor and producer since the late 1970s, David Simmons has worked on a number of notable film and television projects. Simmons began his career as an assistant editor on several films, including the Dolly Parton musical "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and the Al Pacino thriller " And Justice For All." His first solo editing project was on Robert Altman's "Popeye" adaptation in 1980. After this, Simmons worked on a number of television movies throughout the 1980s and onwards, such as "Taking Back My Life: The Nancy Ziegenmeyer Story" and a 1995 adaptation of Tennessee Wiliams' "A Streetcar Named Desire." In 2003 he began editing television series, including the TV dramas "The Handler," "K-Ville" and the 2009 series "Make It or Break It." Simmons has also accrued numerous credits as an associate producer, mostly on television movies like "My Brother's Keeper," "The Long Way Home" and a 2001 remake of the classic "On Golden Pond."
