Karl Wiedergott is best known for his voice work on the long-running animated series "The Simpsons." Wiedergott grew up traveling through Europe with his family's theater and circus act, where he became skillful at magic, tap dancing, juggling, and singing. As a teen he became a consummate entertainer, most at home in front of a crowd waiting to be dazzled. To learn English he listened to the songs of Frank Sinatra and Buddy Holly, but eventually he became tired of performing in Germany and moved to America. Wiedergott began his professional career as an actor making guest appearances on television shows such as the sitcom "The Golden Girls," the mystery series "Columbo," the crime drama "21 Jump Street," and the sci-fi series "Star Trek: Voyager." Wiedergott's biggest success came in 1998 when he started doing voice work for the animated sitcom "The Simpsons." He has appeared in over 200 episodes, voicing numerous background characters and impersonating celebrities such Bill Clinton and John Travolta for the show.
