Caddo Lake may not be for everyone, but it’s definitely a conversation starter. It’s the kind of film you’ll want to discuss afterward, trying to figure out how all the pieces fit—or if they even fit at all. It’s messy, confusing, and at times brilliant.

While the film is among Shyamalan better work within the last few years, it is elevated by its cast. The cast give a fully gripping performance bolstering the fairly decent script, with enough twists and turns to keep you engaged at least until the conclusion. A true shame this was not given a theatrical release.

I really like the idea behind the plot. I’m usually always a sucker for something like this as I’m a big mind bender fan. And there’s a big but. This should’ve been a limited series or mini series because there was too much rushed down into an 1hr 45 mins. Maybe I’m wrong and it should’ve been even shorter, but all in all, not a bad film, and I think how you react to this is really going to be dependent on your mood. You are either going to be like, “Oh wow!” or “Man, screw this movie by the end.”

Call me dumb but this movie had 1.5% of sense. The plot is so messy and my brain hurts. Wouldn’t recommend. I had to ask chat gpt for help to understand it and it still doesn’t make sense. A grandmother is somebody’s sister in present day, like what!?!?

I would love to give this 4 stars because it was a great story line with unimaginable revelations. How ever it didn’t leave me on the edge of my seat. Also, I believe it would have been more interesting with a couple of characters searching together instead of alone. Maybe? Either way, I would still recommend to a friend. I would tell them it’s “not bad.”
