A cute rom-com with a charming cast boosted by their infectious chemistry and witty banter. Adam Driver is hilarious while Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan have adorable chemistry. In traditional rom-com fashion, the last third of the movie is dragged down by petty melodrama about mixed signals, misdirection’s, and miscommunications followed by the obligatory fight and sulking before the inevitable reunion. But to be fair, most rom-coms do this and this one is certainly above that. It’s still an adorable little rom-com that’s very well-executed.

This is a great feel good film. Strong cast and acting. I'm honestly impressed by Daniel Radcliffe's acting for a Rom-Com! The dialogue is witty, natural, and has some great laughs! The story is typical of a Rom-Com but honestly, that's expected right? This film is a gem full of dynamic characters showcasing great chemistry. I think what makes it great is that although the story is predictable, it follows a well structured formula and shifts gears at a good pace to keep the flow going. The film overall is fun, refreshing, and charming.

Honestly some of the best acting I've seen from Radcliffe, though Driver was undeniably the star of the show, he was the perfect balance of foil and comic releif, but still had just enough heart to make his character genuine. The rest of the cast was good. Loved the animation, though some of the other overlays felt out of place. The plot was a but pradictable, but otherwise airtight. All in all it's a really good movie, very When Harry Met Sally if that's your thing. 84/109

A 2013 film directed by Michael Dowse, about Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe) who, saddened by his recent break-up, goes to a party for his friend Allan (Adam Driver) and meets Chantry (Zoe Kazan), a girl with a boyfriend who just wants a friend, and Wallace... just wants a friend too?
Personally, I love romantic films, especially when they are comedies, and this film exceeded my expectations. I felt that the characters had a relationship that was not forced as usually is in film of this genre. I did feel that the parallel relationship of the main character's best friend (Allan) was a bit rushed, but he is a character that I liked because of the way he is.
I really like the backgrounds, the light resources that are used, the colour palettes and the way the film was shot. I feel that they took a lot of care with that. Having recognised actors makes the film more eye-catching, and this one has a very good cast, with Daniel Radcliffe from Harry Potter and Adam Driver from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
All in all, it's a good film, not the best romance film you're likely to see, but it's good enough to watch while you're doing something else. But if you want to see something of this genre, you might like it:

This movie was made by Michael Dowse released in the year 2013, based on the book "Cigars and Toothpaste". This story, of love and comedy, is about two main characters: Wallace and Chantry, who meet at a party in which they had a snap connection, but Chantry has a boyfriend that Wallace will have to respect, oppressing his emotions. These two characters are played by Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan
The plot of the story is predictable and slow, fact that makes it boring and repetitive, because from the beginning of the movie, when Wallace meets Chantry, the spectator can speculate with no difficulties, that they would end up together.
I don't have many good things yo highlight, but I can mention that it is really interesting to watch actors interpreting characters in movies that they are not their usual genre, like Daniel Radcliffe and Adam Driver, that is a secondary character, This fact show us how complete some actors are, without limiting their facets.
As could be noticed previously, I am not an amateur of love movies and this film didn't change my opinion, therefore my qualification for "What if?" is a 1,5/5 mainly because this film doesn't evoke any feelings that captivate you into the plot, but if you are a supporter of the movies of love, you probably won't dislike it, so I recommend for only this type of public
