S T Love this show! We need more seasons!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The weakest entry in the Tales of Arcadia TV franchise, 3Below's second season has the same subpar animation and writing problems as its predecessor coupled with very underwhelming action but I do appreciate some of the themes it tackles, I do like how this is our first time seeing the titular town in the aftermath of Trollhunters' awesome third season, Aja and Steve's relationship is honestly quite sweet and there is some decent character development. I didn't hate this season but I really felt like I was watching out because I had to rather than because I wanted to. The fact that Wizards and Rise of the Titans would focus largely on events important to Trollhunters really shows how 3Below and its sci-fi aspects feel largely superfluous in the grand scheme of things as both of those entries are skewed more towards the fantasy that's Guillermo del Toro's preferred genre, regardless of how much he's actually involved with DreamWorks' little TV franchise. Though they were slightly more willing to acknowledge the events of this show than how Shrek Forever After only had one indication that Shrek the Third happened, so that's nice.
