Forest Whitaker stars in this "Criminal Minds" spinoff as Special Agent Sam Cooper, a fierce leader who is not afraid to risk his career in order to stand by his convictions and bring dangerous criminals to justice. Cooper tries to avoid political bureaucracy by handpicking an eclectic group of profilers to work outside the confines of Quantico. Former British soldier Mick Rawson is a highly skilled marksman with an undiluted eye for rooting out evil. Former convict John "Prophet" Sims has a calm, Zen-like presence and wants to make amends for past sins. Rounding out the team is Gina LaSalle, an attractive agent armed with a cunning sense of perception.

Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly We're not spared the reason viewers by the millions tune in to the original Minds: To watch the suffering of the helpless, rescued by the earnest, the brave, and the eccentric. Feb 16, 2011 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com There's no sense of the human touch here other than in glimpses of Whitaker's performance. Rated: 1.5/5 Feb 16, 2011 Full Review Alessandra Stanley New York Times The series follows a formula, but it's a proven one. Feb 16, 2011 Full Review Jim Garner TV Fanatic Sadly it could go wrong in a lot of ways, the biggest of these being a lack of character introduction or team strengths/weaknesses dynamics. Rated: 2.4/5 Feb 17, 2011 Full Review F. John Rickert Television Without Pity I don't expect to ever watch this show regularly, I could easily see myself bingeing on it if I found a rerun marathon of it on some cable channel while visiting my parents. Feb 17, 2011 Full Review Cynthia Fuchs PopMatters Because you've seen too many shows like this and too many teams like his, you're unimpressed. You're already too many steps ahead. Vanessa 1 Don't know why it was not renewed for a second season... It wasn't as mindblowingly good as Criminal Minds, but it was really enjoyable and had a lot of potential to get much better later on... After all Criminal Minds first season is also far from my favorite... The cliffhanger is haunting me now: Who was shot? Was someone shot? I need answers!!! 😂 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review StephenPaul C The greatest 13 episodes in a single-season series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/23 Full Review Audience Member To be honest, I didn't finish the entire season, I just HAD to rate and review this show. So the Criminal Minds franchise is obviously a lot to live up to, and this spinoff fell so shirt. I can tell what the writers were going for with the characters but it just didn't come off AT ALL. DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW! NOTE: "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" is definitely worth checking out if you're really into Criminal Minds and crime shows in general, especially if you're sick of America-centric shows. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is the equivalent of badness, predictble, dumb and just straght out insulting to you as viewer, recycling old plotlines, terrible dialougue and cinamatography which is ok-ish to bad, depending on the episode. There is not one scene in the episodes I've which I didn't have any problem with, and the worse is that all the episodes are the same, bad things happens, they investigate it but don't have a good clue, bring in someone close to the murderer, they get lead, something bad is about to happen, they kill the guy. And the dumbness in it is that it often in the dumbest way possible, the murderer in one episode runs away, 20 meter away and the chick shoots him straight through the head, while the guy is unarmed, all that happens is "good shot". Please do yourself a favor and never watch this show Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
