Even a cast of talented comedic actors can't keep Friends from College from being anything but underwhelming.

Lauren Carroll Harris Guardian It's not a realistic world, but the way Friends from College casually digs into the social perfectionism of so-called successful people feels about right. Jul 30, 2019 Full Review Willa Paskin Slate It was not secretly good, though it may have had some good-enough things about it. It was bad. Dec 19, 2017 Full Review Deborah Ross Daily Mail (UK) The cast seem to think that if they manically throw all their energy at their characters it will help. It doesn't. Rated: 1/5 Aug 30, 2017 Full Review Dan Buffa KSDK News (St. Louis) In the end, it's honest, heartfelt, and very funny work. Nov 10, 2020 Full Review Nabila Hatimy The Star (Kenya) We expect more from a great comedy ensemble cast. Rated: 2/5 Jul 20, 2020 Full Review Neal Pollack Decider Karamo [Brown] provides the emotional trigger for the first season's two most profound moments, which is saying a lot because the new Queer Eye is definitely a three-hanky weeper throughout. Darío Missael R Friends from College is hands down one of the best comedy series I’ve ever watched. I’ve seen it more than five times since it premiered, and every single time, it manages to make me laugh just as much as the first. The humor is sharp, the cast chemistry is incredible, and the mix of comedy with real-life struggles makes it incredibly entertaining. I honestly don’t understand why it wasn’t more appreciated by critics or why it wasn’t continued. It had the perfect balance of witty dialogue, chaotic but lovable characters, and hilarious yet relatable situations. It deserved so much more recognition, and I’ll always consider it a go-to show whenever I need a good laugh. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Juan Pablo F We have seen like 7 times this series with my wife, it’s the kind of series you need to see more than once to really get it, it’s extremely funny, we just love it SO MUCH!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Richard O Whilst the characters can sometimes feel a little one-dimensional they are likeable and convincing enough as a group of grads pretending to be actual adults. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/21/23 Full Review Shauna D I'm not sure why the temp is so off for the critics but this show was beautifully done. Irreverent, smart, relatable, and still entertaining enough to be a break from your own reality. The characters were given depth and no one person was really the bad guy or completely unlikeable. It's a shame it was canceled at S2 because there were some great unexplored paths for this set of friends. I think it's telling when the audience score is so much higher than the critic score. At the end of the day, who honestly gives a fuck if those who would deem themselves worthy of having a prized opinion didn't like it, if the masses did?? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/03/23 Full Review Elyse S I understand that this form of comedy is not for everybody, but the critics are wrong. I binged both seasons in like 3 days. It was so unique! You know those times when you're laughing so hard that no sound comes out? This happened to me so much over the course of both seasons! My only complaint is how season 2 ends on such a cliff hanger and now I find out there won't be a 3rd season because some critics are butt hurt over comedy they don't understand?!! But then ghost hunting shows get green lit for like 80 seasons when news flash, they've never found any ghosts!! GET IT TOGETHER NETFLIX!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Claire G I think this show is mostly hilarious!!I love Ethan especially. It's also well acted and even though its daft and silly its also intelligent, fresh and very stylish. Love the clothes the female characters wear and the interiors. Can't understand the bad reviews from critics!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
