Ricky Blitt
A writer and producer for film and television, Ricky Blitt is best known for his contributions to the hit animated series "Family Guy" and the feature "The Ringer," about a man who fakes learning disabilities in order to rig the Special Olympics. Born and raised in Montreal, he moved to Los Angeles and began writing spec scripts, finding early success on "The Parent 'Hood" and "The Jeff Foxworthy Show." In 1999, he joined creator Seth MacFarlane's "Family Guy" as co-producer and writer, working on numerous episodes in the show's early run and occasionally lending his voice to characters. He also wrote "The Ringer," the Farrelly Brothers-produced comedy starring Johnny Knoxville. Blitt created and executive-produced two short-lived sitcoms, "The Winner," starring Rob Corddry, and "Romantically Challenged," featuring Alyssa Milano as a recently divorced single mom reentering the dating scene. The latter series aroused the odd complaint that the laugh track was overly loud, disputed by Blitt as being the actual response of the studio audience.
