For as long as they can recall, Grace and Frankie have been rivals. Their one-upmanship comes crashing to a halt, however, when they learn that their husbands have fallen in love with each other and want to get married. As everything around the ladies is coming apart, the only thing they can really rely on is each other. This Netflix original re-teams Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin ("9 to 5") as Grace and Frankie, respectively, bringing their chemistry to the small screen. It's a casting reunion on a grand scale, as Tomlin is reunited with her co-star from "The West Wing," Martin Sheen, who plays Grace's husband, Robert. And Fonda is back with Sam Waterston, her co-star from "The Newsroom," who plays Frankie's husband, Sol.

Heather Hogan Autostraddle I had no idea it would become one of the best love stories in TV history, and one of my personal favorites. May 5, 2022 Full Review Christopher James The Film Experience We’ll miss seeing Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin on our screens regularly. However, the show is charming and lighthearted enough to be the perfect rewatchable comfort food. Rated: B+ Nov 28, 2022 Full Review Alexandra MacAaron Women's Voices for Change There's a looming awareness that sooner or later (and with the 4 main characters in their 80s, sooner is likely), someone’s going to die. Unless they “pull a Thelma and Louise,” as Frankie says, either she or Grace will eventually be left alone. Rated: 9/10 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate Fresh, funny and endearing, there's a reason why it's Netflix's longest-running series. Rated: 8/10 Jun 17, 2022 Full Review Frank J. Avella Edge Media Network Kauffman and Morris created a series that has boldly confronted subject matter that was previously off-limitsThe show has never shied away from gay material, but at the heart of the work is the enduring love that Grace and Frankie share. Rated: A- May 3, 2022 Full Review Clare Martin Paste Magazine The final season of Netflix’s longest-running original series has all of the frothiness and fun of the previous seasons, with one figure casting its long shadow over the main characters: their mortality. paul k Until the final season this was a great series and I enjoyed every episode. That final season was horrible. It was like the entire writing staff was replaced with hacks. I didn't get through episode 2. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Helen L Brilliant series, warm and funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review Maks K Brilliant from the beginning to the very end. Criminally underrated, offers one of the best tv series of last decades carried by stunning performances and writing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely loved watching this show. All actors fit their characters so well. Series 7 'the bunny' had me laughing so hard I was crying. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review dave d The final season of G & F is tired and familiar and lacks a certain energy. Some of the smaller players are given larger tasks and the titular characters are often pushed to the side. The last campaign is like the first season, but there's a lot of good in between! Cast is great, but those storylines are more from Shameless for the well off than anything of substance. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Grace and Frankie has been a fun ride but this season seems a little tired. Every episode comes across with conflicts that don't challenge the characters but goes for the obvious. Events that could've happened earlier or dragged out for multiple episodes. As much as I adore the actors in the series, and there is no weak casting, I think it could've been better served by more challenging storylines. It passed the time but it won't be some thing I watch again. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
