Sophie Gilbert The Atlantic National Treasure, too, reminds of how much can be done in a limited-episode format, tackling an impossibly tricky subject within a tight frame. That it leaves you wanting more is only one of its achievements. Apr 24, 2018 Full Review Gail Pennington St. Louis Post-Dispatch Be assured that National Treasure pays off in every way a British crime drama can pay off. Rated: 3.5/4 Mar 3, 2017 Full Review Tim Goodman The Hollywood Reporter There's an obvious familiarity to the subject matter, but with National Treasure, Thorne never makes it seem rote, boring or insignificant. Mar 2, 2017 Full Review James Walton The Spectator I'd suggest that the main thing which could stop National Treasure making the transition from a good to a great drama is its own somewhat painful sense of responsibility. Sep 6, 2018 Full Review Morgan Jeffery Digital Spy In particular, the final episode - which revealed both the jury's verdict, and the truth behind the Finchley accusations - was sickeningly tense. Jun 23, 2018 Full Review Rob Lowman Los Angeles Daily News Coltrane, Waters and Riseborough are brilliant in this compelling drama. Apr 23, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Ryan-James C Amazingly written and acted, especially by Robbie Coltrane. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Raven D Very interesting look into the topic of sexual abuse, and how it affects everyone involved, guilty or not. I found it most interesting that it doesn´t give a clear solution, an answer, or closure, but instead focuses on the ambiguity, the second thoughts, the doubt. Great performances throughout. A particular highlight was the wardrobe, which describes and enhances the characters perfectly, in past and present scenes. Robbie Coltrane´s dark blue sweater with pink diamonds stuck with me. He really looks the part. Beautifully directed with the end shots during the credits being particularly artful and impressive. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/26/17 Full Review Audience Member Well-written and acted. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Erik B. A I've seen two episodes so far. The characters are very likable in the beginning, but they get more and more ugly as the series goes on. The characters in the flashbacks seem like completely different persons. It's very unpleasant and less and less believable. The Jimmy Savile scandal is an important subject, but this film ultimately feels exploitative in its own way. Not sure if I want to finish it.
