Break out the short shorts for Reno 911! -- an anarchically hilarious ride-along with TV's most inept police force.

Erik B A great start to a long-running series. While this season isn't quite as refined as the later seasons, it's still a hilarious watch. It's evident that this cast enjoys working together. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/24 Full Review Tiago G Divertidisimo, cumpliendo con su comedia. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review NEMXA R I use to think this and cops was the same show. Love this we need more of shows like this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Audience Member Took the concept of Cops & made it a scripted comedy with bungling characters. Obviously lots of ad lib was encouraged, which only helped make the show feel "real" & not-so-produced. Show fell off after a number of the original cast didn't return & were replaced. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a very funny, very irreverent spoof of the famed "Cops" Show. It purports to showcase the jobs and arrests made by the Reno Police Department. The show is painfully stupid, and that is part of its charm. The characters are the strength of the show. The episodes move quickly, and there is a lot of humor in them. No one in this show takes themselves too seriously, and many taboo topics are treated with great humor. I think this is a great "go to" show when you have a short time to fill in between shows and are looking to laugh. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Steve Johnson Chicago Tribune For all the great flashes of improvisation from this fine comic team, there's an overall feeling of weariness to the effort, of perspiration rather than inspiration. Mar 30, 2020 Full Review John Maynard Washington Post The result: extreme silliness but more than enough laughs to make the half-hour investment worthwhile. Mar 30, 2020 Full Review Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly As this series has evolved, its format has proven remarkably expansive and emotionally rich, using parodic elements to explore these characters and place them precisely in a social environment. Rated: A- Sep 5, 2003 Full Review Jamey Codding Bullz-Eye.com It's not merely the idea that makes "Reno 911" so damn funny. It's the characters and the writing. Rated: 4/5 Mar 30, 2020 Full Review Laurel Harris PopMatters So aggressive is RENO 911!'s low-budget affect that Cops looks positively polished by comparison... Here, jokes fall into dead space or turn bizarre, and characters are mostly conventional types. Apr 12, 2019 Full Review Adam Tierney IGN DVD The show is difficult to describe because what carries it is not the specific jokes, but the charisma and reactivity of the actors, who play off each other with so much zeal it's impossible not to fall in love with them.
