Molly Eichel AV Club It's cute and funny, and a little bit cheesy. But that's where Jim Gaffigan's strength lies as a sitcom lead. Audience Member The Court of Public Opinion is a masterpiece Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The first season was great! So much so that even though I didn't like the first few episodes of season 2 I kept watching up to episode 8. I can't take it anymore. The writing is not even close to being as good as season one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member What becomes very apparent this season is that The Jim Gaffigan show is not just a sitcom about a lovable but bumbling comedian. Rather, it's a delightful but very cutting and sometimes dark satire of the comedic community. LOVE IT Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious. Cardinal Dolan as bartender was great. I loved it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best shows on TV! Enjoy watching it each week! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The score is so high because Gaffigan is begging his fans for five star reviews on twitter. No way most of them saw it. There are almost no jokes. The other characters are hardly used at all. It's just Jim Gaffigan and a bunch of his d list standup comedian friends doing crazy episodes. There's nothing relatable going on. The pilot was created by the guy who created Rescue Me, which was a great show. The pilot of this show was good also. The show is nothing like that anymore. I guess that guy left? The amazing part is that it just isn't funny at all. It's a bunch of people talking, and then once in awhile an old joke from Gaffigan's standup. (Yes, I'm a fan of his standup. Unless its changed to be like this show. Now I'm kind of afraid.) Beware the rating. It's rigged. The show isn't close to good.
