Charlotte Dauphin
Charlotte Dauphin is a French filmmaker, performance artist, visual artist, and designer. Although a trained ballet dancer, after an injury, Dauphin decided to focus on her studies. Charlotte graduated in semiotics and communication from the French Grande Ecole EDHEC (MA - Edhec, France), art history from the Courtauld Institute (MA - University of London, UK), the dramatic arts from RADA (MA - Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London, UK) and did a filmmaking residency at the University of Southern California, LA where she directed, produced, edited and performed in her first short film "An Attempt to Know More" in 2010. In 2020, she released her first feature film, L'Autre (The Other) starring Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, James Thierrée, Anouk Grinberg and herself. It received a Best Actress Award for Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey at the Taormina Film Fest and toured internationally. She then performed alongside ballet icon Marie-Agnès Gillot in her short film "Barre" - a tribute to German artist/choreographer Pina Bausch - and in "Architect."
