Throughout his entertainment career as an accomplished actor, John Gill graced the silver screen many times. In his early acting career, Gill appeared in such films as "This Sporting Life" (1963), "Night Must Fall" (1964) with Albert Finney and the comedic adaptation "Something For Everyone" (1970) with Angela Lansbury. He also appeared in "Thomasine & Bushrod" (1974) and the John Collin dramatic adaptation "Tess" (1980). His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like the Bob Peck dramatic comedy "After Pilkington" (1986), the comedy adventure "Pirates" (1986) with Walter Matthau and the Michael Caine drama "The Whistle Blower" (1987). He also appeared in the drama "That Summer of White Roses" (1990) with Tom Conti. Gill continued to exercise his talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "Maigret" (PBS, 1991-93), "Noddy" (PBS, 1998-2002) and "The Land Girls" (1998) starring Catherine McCormack. His credits also expanded to "Wild Man Blues" with Woody Allen (1998). Gill most recently composed for "Inside Comedy" (Showtime, 2011-15).
