Synopsis
Paul Cadmus, an idiosyncratic artist infamous for a provocatively erotic painting he created for the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s, looks back on his long life and career in this filmed interview. Cadmus surveys his often satirical oeuvre that combines Old World techniques with a modern sensibility, discussing his attachment to the archaic medium of egg tempera and his fascination with homoerotic imagery. Cadmus' longtime companion and favorite model is also interviewed.
