During World War II, British medic Peter Stackhouse (John Sutton) follows in his late father's footsteps by joining the Royal Air Force, in spite of his crippling fear of heights. Stackhouse finds a friend and willing mentor in flight instructor Steve Britt (Preston Foster), who helps him to overcome his fears. But when Stackhouse falls for the gorgeous Kay Saunders (Gene Tierney) -- Britt's old flame -- Britt must struggle to put his feelings aside and do his job.

Steve D Tierney is strong the rest is same old same old, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Ashley H Thunder Birds is an okay film. It is about a veteran American flyer who trains new recruits, including the acrophobic son of his dead war buddy. Gene Tierney and Preston Foster give decent performances. The script is a little slow in places. William A. Wellman did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama.
