On February 27, 2002, India bore witness to a horrific event that forever altered its social fabric and history forever. Bogie S-6 of the Sabarmati Express, carrying many 'Karsewaks', was engulfed in flames by a frenzied mob in Godhra, Gujarat. Amidst the turmoil of that fateful day, Samar Kumar, a young film journalist, found himself dispatched to Godhra's ground zero. He tries to expose the truth, but didn't know that he is going to upset a few powerful people who sit quietly in shadows while actually pulling the strings of the puppet. A few years later, Amrita, a young journalist chances upon Samar's report, a stark contrast to the widely accepted narrative. Let's embark on this thrilling expedition as Samar and Amrita navigate the intricate web of journalism, ethics, and the relentless pursuit of truth amidst formidable threats.

Sukanya Verma Rediff.com The Sabarmati Report is so flimsy in its execution, taking offence to it would be dignifying its existence. Rated: 1/5 Nov 17, 2024 Full Review Troy Ribeiro Free Press Journal (India) The docudrama format often slips into theatricality, with scenes feeling unnaturally staged. Real-life footage is woven into the film to heighten authenticity, yet its placement seems almost too aware of itself, leaving us to wonder ... Rated: 2.5 Nov 16, 2024 Full Review Lachmi Deb Roy Firstpost It is immersive and engaging, but I somehow felt that Vikrant Massey’s character needed some layers which the movie lacked. Rated: 3/5 Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Abhishek Srivastava The Times of India ‘The Sabarmati Report’ holds viewer attention through most of its runtime, but its slightly glossy treatment makes it feel less like a film based on true events and more like a typical commercial drama. Rated: 3/5 Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Shilajit Mitra The Hindu The minor human moments that Massey can bring alive are sidestepped for high-pitched histrionics. He’s given too many dramatic speeches, but not much heft. Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

s m Great movie and acting on a tough controversial topic. Well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review V S Glad to see the movie makers are making topics are relevant and attempts to bring light to a historical facts that was suppressed. The folks only talk about the gujarat riots during this time, but suppress the instigation of the riots. If the same thing had happened to the other side burning the train this would have been an international havoc. Looks at what has happened to the folks of other religtions beliefs in other neighboring countries of India but the media does not report it or considers it is a small news. These type of movies should wake up the Bharat to consider country first before religion. I am glad the movie makers now have the guts to make such movie based on a true incident. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Mirza M 'The Sabarmati Report' is a faulty investigation drama that struggles to walk the line between diplomacy and spectacle. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Indian movie lover Game changer for India's news channels and corrupt Politicians/Ministers Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Asha K Absolutely immersive must see . Acting is superb. It focusses on some uncomfortable truths that paid and corrupt media like editor of Hindu , wire —— the usuals will try their best to pull just read the convoluted reviewby shilajit Mitra —— sorry sir we are by now used to how journalism in Hindu is agenda oriented —— very sad very very sad these days journalists are worst that used car sales people Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Read all reviews
