Jonah Lotan
Viewers of HBO's original programming may recognize Jonah Lotan from the Iraq War mini-series "Generation Kill," but he has also appeared in a number of features and television shows since the late 1990s. After starting his career on the small screen and in videogames, the Israeli-born Lotan was cast in "The Pool," a German slasher movie released in 2001. A few years later, he appeared in every episode of the British drama "NY-LON," playing the character of Kenny, which led to minor roles in the American thriller "The Jacket" and the Italian drama "The Tiger and the Snow," both '05 releases. He also began appearing on a recurring basis as Dr. Marty Pino on the popular "CSI: NY." One year later, Lotan landed the recurring part of Spenser Wolff, an intelligence analyst whose motives are not necessarily pure, in the hit television serial "24," had a supporting part in the Old Testament-based "One Night with the King," and appeared in the fourth season of the acclaimed British detective series "Foyle's War." For the latter, set in early 1940s England, he played an American soldier, or ''Doughboy,'' whose presence abroad causes some tension. Toward the end of the decade, he appeared in his most prominent role yet as Robert Timothy ''Doc'' Bryan, a Navy Hospitalman, in "Generation Kill."
